Altela was founded in February 2005 by Ned A. Godshall (CEO) and Matthew J. Bruff (CDO), experienced and proven entrepreneurs. The company is now a 40-person organization with offices in Albuquerque, New Mexico and Denver, Colorado. We manufacture our patented product within our 24,000 square foot facility located in Albuquerque. The company has assembled a strong intellectual property position, experienced management team, 3 strategic O&G partner/investors, a Technical Advisory Board, 3 Venture Capital investors, and has deployed AltelaRain® systems throughout the U.S. that have successfully treated water in the Marcellus Shale of Pennsylvania, the Piceance Basin in the Rocky Mountains of Colorado, the San Juan Basin in New Mexico, and as far as Alberta, Canada.
Two joint venture water treatment plants, consisting of 4 AltelaRain® 750 Modules, are currently treating frac and flowback water and other produced wastewater in the Marcellus. See CAES and CARES details here.
